What an absolute delight of a boy he is.  I took him to the vets for his C5 and heartworm test…. as well as a skin scrape/ test for ringworm.
The skin scrape came up negative for mites but the ringworm test needs to be kept for a few days to see if it comes up. In the meantime, he is off limits for people to handle (unless they are wearing gloves) and has started his course of antibiotics and regular Malaseb baths.
He made me so very proud at the vets.  He sat quietly at my side whilst other clients dogs were going crazy and barking at each other.  Danny was not fussed and appears not to have any aggression towards other dogs whatsoever. Â
Once he gets the all clear (fingers crossed it comes up negative)  – I will then introduce him to Chica or some other friendly girl we have.
NOTE:  If he does have Ringworm,  he will not be available for adoption until cleared or if someone desperately wants him and is prepared to go through the treatment, we may consider letting him go.   We have had a few dogs have ringworm get adopted and adopters are just made fully aware of this and signed an agreement.   His looks and temperament will surely win them over.  He thouroughly enjoyed being massaged and stroked
