Add ringworm, scabies, parvovirus, and kennel cough to Occupier plagues

The infestation of dirty, smelly hippies that make up a large part of the “Occupy Wall Street” bowel movement have become a petri dish of health hazards.

We can now add ringworm, scabies, parvovirus, and kennel cough to tuberculosis and ‘Zuccotti lung‘. Mix in drug abuse, STD’s, and lice infestations, and we got an epidemic cocktail of horrors just waiting to happen.

NBC (h/t Weasel Zippers) — Don’t bring your dogs to Justin Herman Plaza, Occupiers.

Three dogs residing at the Occupy SF encampment by The Embarcadero have tested positive for a highly contagious disease called the parvovirus, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

The San Francisco SPCA and city Animal Care and Control visited the camp on Monday to offer free veterinary service to the dozens of dogs at the camp, according to the newspaper. Some dog owners took their pooches to the makeshift vet; others accused officials of spreading bad publicity.

Parvovirus results in vomiting and bloody diarrhea, according to the newspaper.

The parvovirus isn’t the only affliction to have befallen dogs at the camp, the SPCA says — kennel cough, a highly contagious respiratory illness, is likely flourishing as well.

City officials are reporting a breakout of ring worm and scabies outbreak at Occupy Santa Cruz.  The Santa Cruz Sentinel (h/t Gateway Pundit) reports:

…Police said there have been reports of ringworm and scabies at the camp in recent days. County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment about health conditions at the camp.
